Hey, it's Tom. A look at active weather stretching from Hawaii toward the East Coast and Ohio shows some notable systems at play today. KHON2 News in Honolulu reports the National Weather Service said Tropical Storm Pena is no threat to land and is not expected to directly impact the islands, though rain showers and thunderstorms may still be heading that way. WNCT in Greenville, North Carolina reports that their 8:30 in the evening radar update shows the majority of the rain has now moved offshore, with some heavy rain still along the southern Outer Banks according to meteorologist Christopher Tyndall. That leads us nicely into the latest from WKYC 3weather in Cleveland-Akron, which is offering a quick check of the radar across Ohio to see the forecast, conditions, and impacts centered on the area.
