We collect information you provide directly (account details, location for the Weather Desk, communications, submissions, newsletter signups), information collected automatically (usage data, device/technical data, approximate IP location, cookies), and public station post data from the X API.

We use personal information to operate the Services, deliver localized weather news, communicate with users, review submissions, moderate content to a PG-13 standard (AI moderation flags content above PG-13 for human review before publication), analyze usage, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your personal information to train third-party AI foundation models.
4. How We Share Information
We share personal information only with trusted service providers (such as Vercel for hosting, Supabase for database/auth, and HeyGen for video rendering) under strict data protection terms, or as required by law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We plan to support Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals; until then, we honor opt-out requests sent to privacy@weather.wtf.
