Hey, it's Tom. From false rain on radar to real showers farther north, the weather picture is mixed. Right now, WFLA NEWS in Tampa-Saint Petersburg reports: Early Monday morning, Max Defender 8 radar made it look as if much of the Tampa area was blanketed by light rain. After a closer look, those returns weren't rain at all, but birds in flight during the peak of migration. TV6 & FOX UP in Marquette reports: Meanwhile, showers and thundershowers continue to exit the eastern Upper Peninsula, while spotty lake effect rain will continue during the day. Overnight rainfall for many areas ranges from half an inch to three quarters of an inch. WMTW TV in Portland-Auburn reports: Elsewhere, widespread showers with freezing rain in the high altitudes are part of the setup for Maine today. Persistent cold rain will cover the state, and mountain areas could see wintry precipitation on top of the showers. This is Tom. Credits and photos are tagged below.
