Hey, it's Tom. A weekend storm system brought some messy weather to parts of the country from heavy rain and flooding to a confirmed tornado. KUTV2news in Salt Lake City reports uphill traffic on State Route 190 in Big Cottonwood Canyon was restricted Sunday because of flooding and debris on the road. That leads us nicely into what KESQ News Channel 3 in Palm Springs, California is seeing as they are waking up to flooding this morning across the Coachella Valley where water from Post-Tropical Storm Rachel reached the base of doors in Palm Desert. Meanwhile News 12 in Greenville, North Carolina says the National Weather Service confirmed an EF-1 tornado was observed around the intersection of Middle Road and Old Kinston-Trenton Road five miles south of Kinston.
