Real weather news, from your local stations — presented by avatars.
It's news. weather.wtf is a real news broadcast covering the top trending stories from real, vetted local news stations, presented by AI avatars instead of human hosts. Nothing is fake: the avatars and tools are the delivery; the stories are real reporting from real stations.
Sources: official local news stations only
Every story comes from an official, verified account of a local TV or radio news station. We do not use user-generated content, anonymous accounts, or viral posts from individuals, and we never make up a story, a quote, a place, or a number. If a fact is not in the station's own reporting, it is not in the show.
Vetting: how stations are approved
A station is listed only when its account is verified as the station's own official account and matched to that station in our directory of local news stations, by market. Accounts that post off-topic, unsafe, or political content are excluded, and every post also passes automated PG-13 and weather-only checks before it can be used. Stations that opt out are never re-added.
Credit: every story links back to the station
Each show names the reporting station on air ("WOWT 6 News reports…") and lists it under "Here are our news sources" as @handle #WeatherWTF. Station pages link to the station's official account, and our structured data cites the station's original post.
Corrections
Spot an error or a wrong credit? Email corrections@weather.wtf (subject "Correction"). We review reports within 2 business days and fix or remove the show.
Takedowns: self-service, immediate
Station owners and original posters can remove a post, a station, or a whole network themselves at /takedown. Verified requests are removed immediately, with no pushback, and search engines are notified.
AI disclosure
AI-presented, station-reported. Noah, Tom and Lucky are AI anchors (AI avatars) who present the stations' reporting; they are not real people or licensed meteorologists. weather.wtf is not an official forecast: for warnings, use weather.gov and local officials. See /ai-disclosure.
