  1. That's what happens when you have white supremacist sympathizing GOP taking a vacation during a crisis and not caring to improve the power grids infrastructure so they can charge insane amounts on people's power bills

  2. People like McConnell who opposed and blocked Obama's efforts to focus on strengthening America's infrastructure and so also as another benefit provide employment opportunities are culpable in this crisis

  3. Apologies for my young age, but did the White House acknowledge this after Katrina? Harvey? Older emergencies? I guess better late than never, but the grid has needed updating for decades

    Edit: pretty sure Puerto Rico is still recovering from Harvey & Irma

  4. Everywhere in the US needs to start changing their building codes so that it can handle freezing temperatures. 3/4 of the country is fine with the temp drops, so just adopt their building codes.
