A number of nations across Europe have experienced record temperature highs in what meteorologists have called an “extreme weather event”.

National records have fallen in eight countries – and regional records in another three.

Warsaw, Poland, saw highs of 18.9C (66F) on Sunday while Bilbao, Spain, experienced 25.1C – more than 10C above average.

Temperatures in the Netherlands, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Latvia, Czech Republic, Poland, Denmark and Belarus also broke national records.

  1. Surprised pikachu face.

We have global climate change (especially the warming part). Who'd have thought we'd have increasingly erratic weather.

Something something climate change deniers something…

  2. The snow fall here in Anchorage only lasted a few weeks and is already drying up last year it lasted all the way through to march but now it’s already dying down

  3. This coming summer is going to be horrific, prepare now! The living earth is dying, and the biosphere is in collapse. The planet's ability to provide humans habitability is quickly coming to an end.

  4. This isn't quality reporting, this is juvenile rubbish. Just to educate the dumb BBC with the facts…..an extreme weather event cannot be linked to climate change.
FACT: Climate is measured over a thirty year rolling average, NOT a one off event.
This idiot numpty of a BBC reporter directly compares average temperatures with maximum temperatures which confirms he needs an education.
The BBC need to better their game for all the billions of pounds in taxes they are taking off us. It's pathetic.

  5. BBC pushing this ridiculous climate agenda, we have always had extreme weather pattens, The Winter of 63, the Summer of 76 and plenty of others throughout history.

  6. Europe will enter into a harsh cold spell very soon, learn from the 1962/63 weather trends. You can't escape from Winter unless you're living in another planet..

  7. It might be climate change which has morphed from global warming BUT it is not due to the Minuscule amount of CO2 in the atmosphere.

  8. Climate change hoax propaganda,,triple jabbed sheep should believe it all though,, " we must save the planet" we must agree to pay taxes on everything ,,oh and get your next booster that still doesn't immunize !

  9. Hopefully it will stay warm. France and Germany who rely heavily on Russian gas have capped their domestic electricity prices at 4 % and 12% respectively. UK on the other hand who only buy max 5% Russian gas is led by greedy tories….have capped our electricity prices at 300%.! Even though 25% of our electricity is UK renewable, 50% is UK North Sea gas and the other 20% from Norway! Looks like a few extra billion made by Tory supporting hedge funds is too good a chance to miss to screw brit taxpayers again with hefty profits for Tory donors the reward for supporting Richy Rich Sunak.

  11. There are climate changes and cycles, studys on old trees which are 3000+ years old show years off droughts and heat then other eras with extreme rain and cold. It's been going on, not much we can do other than try and consume as little crap as posible.

  12. I was hoping global warming would bring higher temperatures in Scotland but it still crap weather 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧🤣🤪

  13. Omg we are all going to die. The world has heated then cooled for millions of years. You are just pushing a non existent climate narrative. Paid fir by government ti push a green agenda
