Turbulent Waters

The surface of the sea along the coast seethed as it surged around submerged masses of what was once part of the land we were walking on. We breathed in deeply of the smell of fresh rain and sea spray mixed together and we felt a low thumping shake through our feet as waves crashed into caves along the cliffs underneath us. This is Cape Flattery, the north-west most point of the contiguous United States.
