Nice
Had the same thing here in Kaukauna not the first time
About 20 years ago we had winter lightning. It was -10F out & snowing thick enough that you couldn’t really tell where the lightning was at or how close it was. My dad, brother and I were out feeding the cows in the dark. So there were just flashes out of no where!!
Good your storm didn’t do to much damage!!
I suppose you will process the dead tree tops, but you won't process the dead deer. What? Are you sone kinda deer racist? Just kidding. Although, I am wondering what you did with that deer?
New here. FricknJeep sent me over. I like your content that’s for sure. We do a lot of the same. Glad to hear all is well after the storms. The weather has been crazy that’s for sure.
I'm fearless….except for women and tornadoes!! Glad you"re OK.
Crazy weather indeed! We've had a few days of 40 degree plus temperature swings and 50 MPH wind gusts. 60 degrees in mid December is crazy.
Hey Dan glad to hear you and your family weathered the storm. Here in north central Iowa we had pretty much the same weather, had a couple of tornadoes very close by a few buildings effected but no one injured. Very crazy indeed. Cool stuff from Doug at Beaver Creek. Keep up the awesome videos. Take care and God bless.
I'm glad everyone is ok it's been some crazy weather this year. Even in Ohio we've had probably 5 inches of snow total but it melted the next day. We been having alot of rain it makes it hard to get wood being so muddy.
We had a snowstorm with thunder and lightning last winter here in Little Rock. It was very strange seeing lightning strikes when snow is falling heavy
Do you have a video on the construction of your shed that houses your splitter?
Should really take down all the dead trees, imagine if one fell on your new splitter shed..
Thunder storms in winter are common and unusual at all…
We had 70 degrees and 70 mph winds in NE Kansas yesterday. Severe thunderstorm. It was nasty!
Wow that poor deer worked itself to death hahahaha!! What a community we're part of on here!! We had minor damage around here by me!! Thoughts and prayers for anyone who was effected by these storms!! Stay safe my friend!! 🍻🍻🍻
Hi Dan!!😀😀
Glad to see you didn't have very much damage.
We had a lot of high winds down here. We lost a few shingles off a few outbuildings and lost a few branches. We also lost power for about 4 hours through the middle of the night. So it wasn't too bad .
Take care my friend!!
Logger Al
We had temps reach well into the 70's 1/2 hour south of us in Iowa yesterday. We lost power at midnight and regained it just after 1 p.m. today.
My company has several satellite locations and one was completely destroyed last night. Total loss. It was closed and no-one was there so there was no injuries or loss of life.
We did lose a driver in Benton County yesterday in the high winds. Wasn't;t wearing a seat belt and rolled several times and was ejected. Pronounced dead at the scene.
If you look closely at that deer you can tell it is an Ohio deer. Interesting
Dan glad to see you and your family didn't get hammered to bad with the storms
I would not eat that dead Dear either. I Hope you and the family are safe. That care Dan ! Thank God you and the family are OK and no damage. The Back 40 end of year give away, will you have to be there on the Live stream?
Nice unboxing.. Glad your parents and you only had minimal damage from the storm..
HAY ( D ) GOOD TO SEE EVERYTHING IS ALRIGHT. KINDA WEIRD TO SEE SNOW AFTER ALL THAT RAIN, BUT WOW… KINDA A LOT OF WRECKAGE AROUND THE YARD, BUT I'M SURE YOU'LL TAKE CARE OF THAT SOON ENOUGH… HOPE SENIOR IS DOIN' ALRIGHT? HAVEN'T HEARD FROM HIM IN A FEW DAYS. GOOD TO HEAR THAT THE DEER SITUATION IS IN HAND… HATE TO THINK ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OTHER😞… GOOD TO SEE OTHERS ARE TAKIN' CARE OF YA, I GOT SOMETHIN' TO SEND BUT WAS HOPIN' I'D SEE SENIOR BEFORE THEN, KINDA LARGE… THINKIN' ABOUT A MONTH OR SO AND ALL WILL FALL INTO PLACE, HOPEFULLY… KEEP PUSHIN' ON MY BROTHER… PEACE✌…
We are getting some of those winds tonight. Nothing crazy. Last week weekend the winds were much crazier.
Crazy winter!! It was upper 60's today in north central PA. Crazy!
Great gifts from Beaver wood tree service! Early Christmas presents! Storms rolled through Southern Illinois again. We had 50 mph winds. My Grainery barn that predates 1883 had some damage. It was the old log cabin they tore down in 1883, built the Grainery, then harvested the logs to hand hewn the new beams for the house in 1883.
I have to get some steel post, jack it up and set the steel post on it until i can access the damage more. It is a hand hewn beam barn. I am glad you didn't have any major damage. Sling shot a rope up on those widowmakers and pull those down with the Kioti!
No it is not unusual to get thunder and lightning when there’s snow about, it’s the cool air meeting some warmer air, and for rain the temps have to rise and in the same vain with the large amount of electricity in the air plus winds, the perfect ingredients for a tornado 😜
Jo Ann and I were without power for 20 hrs. glad I have wood heat we need to cut down on our carbon use our kids deserve a safe planet.
That storm put alot of wood on the ground, thankfully it sounds like no one was hurt in our area, but my prayers go out to the folks on the Stanley area sounds like their little town got hammered.
Nice early Christmas presents from Beaver Wood! Very nice of them! You got lucky those limbs missed your new shelter. That’s crazy out of all the places you could have lost limbs they were all within feet of your new shelter! See ya on Friday live!👍🏻👍🏻B🆒
In 2000, i was living in Indiana. IN January of that year, we had the same weather pattern as you are about to receive. We did have a tornado, but before that very high winds, rain and quite a bit of lightening. Being that I am from Maine, I had never seen lightening in January before, so it has been something to remember. I do remember having snow, but can't remember whether it was around this storm or not. At any rate, stay safe and thanks for sharing!
Glad the damage wasn’t more extensive! Thanks for the updates and cool unboxing! Thanks! -Brad
Here in Gailsville the tornado siren went off around 8 time frame, so we headed to basement for 40 min. A bit earieee as no power, HIGH winds, lightening and thunder. NOT a December to ever forget. Heard on news this morn that 3 or possibly4 tornados located. Lots of tree limbs ect down thruout city. Blew down a section of my Vinyl fence and branches all over yard. Had my rider mower covered up with a commercial tarp for that mower. Well I also had 5 bungee cords to help with the cover elastics. The cover is NO WHERE to be found. Odd thing, the bungees are laying in a row by the rear tiries . How could that happen?? Only God knows at this time. Glad you had only minimal tree damage.
Wood hound mail and unboxing videos. How cool.
Merry Christmas you all
All I had Dan were thumb size dead stuff falling out of the Trees at my place Just south of Merrill.
Being in the woods I still have some snow yet.
Mike M.
I'm near alto Michigan!
They be messing with the weather lately!
It looks like you have more fuel for the brush pile along with a limited amount of firewood from those parts of trees that came down.
Hit us this morning power is still out. Thank god for generators
Some pretty crazy weather we had last night!
Good you guys are ok i like your new video today love your video buddy 🍺🍺
You’re welcome back 40 👍
The DNR should have tested the deer for CWD.
Crazy weather for sure!! I worked last night needless to say we were busy at the power company.
Very cool Dan , awesome of Doug 👍. That Deer Is bizzare , Dying there… I guess you never know. Take care folks 🍺🍺
