Severe weather threatens 25M Americans; storm system pounds CA with hurricane-force winds, flooding

This exact same thing happened in 1969. Houses along the coast slid into the ocean. Landslides all over the place. Dams breaking and washing out homes. I know this personally. I was a senior in high school and it was terrible. The dry river bottom close to my home wash out when the dam broke. It washed out two bridges spanning that dry river bottom and a third was badly damaged. It went over the sides of that river and flooding everyplace. After that they brought in big rocks and put them on the edges of those river that generally have no water. Oh yea, not to mention all the homeless they had in those river bottoms that got washed away. In those days they were called hoboes and they chose to live that way. This weather is nothing new. It happens in cycles. It also happened once between 1969 and today. It just wasn't as bad.

I so curious how those ev's are doing in the cold and wet climate. Cali wants all gas cars in the junkyard for ev's, so this would be a good test to see how well they do. Also how are those solar and windmills doing?
