Biography

Dr Emily Shuckburgh is a climate scientist and is deputy head of the Polar Oceans Group at the British Antarctic Survey, which is focused on knowledge the purpose of the polar oceans in the world wide weather technique. She has also acted as an advisor to the Uk Authorities on behalf of the Natural Envrionment Analysis Council.

  1. Lol.. this has ironically made me feel better. It's a 36°C autumn day here in Perth, West Oz, with 37 predicted for tomorrow (sigh). However, it was over 30 for the last six months of my pregnancy and I can still vividly remember being 8 months in and having to restrain myself from tossing my laptop against the wall after checking the weather forecast only to find more of the same. Just my heat now, plus, lots of snuggle time with Baby as the cool change came after the birth. Small blessings 🙂

  2. One wonders what such an intelligent lady would do today, with all the knowledge she had back in 2017 (when she gave the talk), and with all the extra knowledge, both scientific and political, with regards to having another child?
