Looking out towards the Caribbean Sea from my sun lounger at the East Winds Inn, St Lucia.
Staying here you get the feeling you’ve joined a secretive, but rather wonderful club. Hidden away down a secluded lane, you stay in unique cottage-style rooms, dotted around the 12 acres of attractive, well-tended gardens that open out onto a wonderful, calm beach. Everyone who stays here rates the friendly, attentive staff and the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The food is legendary, thanks to the French chef, and Champagne is served every night.
