National’s here, National’s there, BLOODY rubbish everywhere!
ONLY JOKING BEFORE I GET ABUSED BYTHE NATIONAL LOVERS!
These three lovely examples, of the underpowered Leyland National are seen at the 2009 Alton Bus Rally and Running Day. I like the fact the front two are in that gorgeous NBC livery, and the rear one looks OK in the De-Reg Alder Valley livery.
Alton is one of the better running days in the calendar, as is always a bit of a National feast, with around 20 ish in attendance (On average!)
Even though after owning a DP National 1 and a Standard National 2, I am not overly convinced by there reliability, I do love the sound of that Leyland 501!
Still prefer a DP Leopard or a Nice VR, or even better how about a lovely fleetline?! 😉
