You totally blew it. La Farge and Hillsboro were both hit; you had gone right through Hillsboro. Richland Center was tornado-warned a bit later as well, but no tornado developed there.
Oakdale to Wyeville was the EF2, you were 10 minutes to the west from New Lisbon. Necedah wasn't affected. Mauston was, which is 10 minutes the east of New Lisbon.
Some days are just like that.
Your driving, however, needs some work. You cannot cross the double yellow centerline, for any reason. That's a 6 point citation in Wisconsin. Hitting the rumble strips on either side should be a good indication that you're not paying enough attention to the road.
Speed is another problem. On straight segments, it's pretty easy to time your speed by the dashed centerline. You were running at least 70 mph on a posted 55 mph state highway (STH 80). There's a lot of Amish in this area, and we get to many motorists colliding with them, because of excess speed.
You're a storm chaser. You're not emergency response. Keep it within the law, or you're going to start attracting negative attention from Wisconsin's finest.
