The weather in northern Kenya is insane. It has hardly rained in Marsabit County for months. The earth is dry, grasses and shrubs dried up. In the past months, tens of thousands of animals have already died.
Then, last night, it rained unexpectedly. But the heavy rains have destroyed more than they have helped nature to recover. The heavy rains, strong gusts of wind and a drop in temperature took people and animals completely by surprise. Thousands of already weakened goats and sheeps died and their owners are left with nothing. Our partner Pacida is on the ground and supports the people. Especially now our help is important:
