1000’s of Victorians are going through a very long wait around to have their electrical power restored soon after this week’s storm. Far more than 30 thousand homes and organizations tonight continue to be blacked out with the hold off in acquiring back again on the grid taking its toll.

  1. The delay…this is what happens when we rely on the Government and corporate organisations and we are not self reliant! When are people going to wake up and stop thinking that the government and large corporations are their friend?

I'm a resident of Blackwood…this is definitely one of the longest blackouts we've had but this is a regular occurrence for us… power outages have seen the entire town rebated hundreds off our power bills for Powercor not meeting contracted service levels. Telstra upgraded the cell towers generator life to 15 hrs because the number of 8+hr blackouts kept causing comms down.

    I've tried to get Powercor to address the infrastructure issues and take lines underground as per the black Saturday royal commission recommendation but as it's not law they will do nothing until legislative changes force them 🤷‍♀️

  3. Yeah, how come none using gas?? Sometimes Green is too extreme. Have a taste on this very grim day.

    Feel sorry for them. Have a bonfires and cook. Back to stone age.

Yeah im one of them no power for a week everythings soakin wet and cold AF i had to get out its to much the good old vic gov sucks they dont give a sh*t on telly they do but in the real world they are useless i could vent but i wont theres plenty worse off than me that need the useless government to do what its ment to and help the local government is going hard the state government andrews gov has caused a lot more pain than anything else people are angry its going to explode down here soo its like a powder keg smoldering when she blows look out
