A rare selfie

I’ve always had mixed feelings about Yellowstone – it’s never been one of my favorite parks but it’s nice to visit occasionally. On this trip we didn’t plan on spending time here, we were just going to transit through the northeast part of the Park to get to the Beartooth Highway. However, we got a very early start, beat the crowds, and in the early morning we had a lot of the Park to ourselves – that was very nice. Perfect weather too. After adventuring on the Beartooth we cut across a different section of Yellowstone and hit Mammoth Terrace (mostly dead now) and the Norris Geyser Basin. We had a nasty looking thunderstorm bearing down on us so we had to cut short our exploration, but this was a very good day at Yellowstone.

I took these photos at Yellowstone at the end of July 2019.
